Check List for Documents to be submitted along with the application

  1. Failure to send the following documents along with the duly completed application form will result in the rejection of the application.
  2. For Candidates with Sri Lankan passports (Sri Lanakan citizenship/ Duel Citizenship)
    1. Applicants are required to confirm the qualifications equivalent to London A/L (except Cambridge/Edexcel examination) by a letter through the institution (Verification available at UK ENIC www.enic.org.uk) with application.
    2. Advanced Level Certificates & Statement of Results certified by the relevant Examinations Board.
    3. Ordinary Level Certificate & Statement of Results certified by the relevant Examinations Board.
    4. Certified copies of the candidate’s passports (with visa) covering the period studied abroad
    5. Originals of the Foreign School Leaving Certificates of the candidate covering the period studied abroad.
    6. Certified copy of the candidate’s Birth Certificate.
    7. Originals of the Service Certificate/s of the Father/Mother/Guardian (only if parents expired) covering the period worked abroad.
    8. Certified copies of parents’/ guardians’ passports (with visa) covering the period worked abroad
    9. Documentary evidences to prove that the Guardian has been legally appointed, if parents expired.
    10. Original letters issued by the banks stating the bank balances of the Father/mother/Guardian in relevant foreign currencies (currency of the relevant country they have/are worked/working) as documentary evidences in proof of the availability of sufficient funds .
    11. Certified copy of the certificate of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) if the qualification considered is a high School Diploma.
    12. Certified copy of the certificate of test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if studied in a language other than English.
    13. Proof of the payment of US $ 100 as Application Processing Fee.
    For Candidates with Foreign Passports
    1. Applicants are required to confirm the qualifications equivalent to London A/L (except Cambridge/Edexcel examination) by a letter through the institution (Verification available at UK ENIC www.enic.org.uk) with application.
    2. Advanced Level Certificates & Statement of Results Certified by the relevant Examination Board.
    3. Ordinary Level Certificate & Statement of Results certified by the relevant Examinations Board.
    4. Original of the School Leaving Certificate from which the candidate sat the qualifying examination
    5. Certified copy of the candidate’s Birth Certificate/National Identity card
    6. Certified copy of the candidate’s Citizenship Certificate (if any)
    7. Original letters issued by the banks stating the bank balances of the Father/mother/Guardian in relevant foreign currencies (currency of their own country) as documentary evidences in proof of the availability of sufficient funds.
    8. Certified copy of the certificate of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) if the qualification considered is a high School Diploma.
    9. Certified copy of the certificate of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if studied in a language other than English.
    10. Proof of the Payment of US $ 100 as Application Processing Fee.
  3. Application fee will not be refunded in the event of a rejection of application.
  4. University has the exclusive right to shortlist the received application.
  5. Application will also subjected to rejection if:
    1. The application is incomplete, in correct or not clear.
    2. There is an attempt to canvassing.
  6. A scanned copy of the application (in PDF format) including all its attachments should also be forwarded to admission@kdu.ac.lk on or before the closing date.
  7. University is not responsible for not notifying applicants who provide incorrect details.
